Our story

I’m Marley, the hands behind Mar + Roe! Mar + Roe comes from my first and middle name, Marley Monroe! I discovered my creative side in high school by taking graphic design and fashion merchandising classes, and I knew one day I wanted to own a business. After receiving my degree in Apparel Design and Merchandising at App State, I tried every side gig in the books, from wardrobe styling to calligraphy, but couldn’t find something that I was passionate about. In January 2021, I was inspired by a creative who used felt as an art medium and thought it was fascinating. I gathered some felt materials, made a few random pieces, and posted them on Instagram. After the positive feedback, I decided to dive in and create heartFELT pieces for all.

Each piece is crafted by hand with felt to reflect whatever you desire. From Beyoncé to your favorite sneaker, from your school logo to a custom portrait of your furry friend! For my senior capstone in college, I created three garments with hand beading on them, so I like to incorporate beading into some of my felt pieces.
